The 2022 Qatar World Cup is set to be the first ever hosted in the Middle East. The tournament will take place from November 21, 2020 to December 18, 2020.

Qatar won the bid for hosting rights on December 2, 2010 and was selected as the host nation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup over bids from Japan, South Korea and Australia.
