‘America’s Got Talent’ Crowns Season 17 Winner

Lebanese all-female alternative dance group collects $1 million prize,

and the opportunity to headline a residency at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

After months of tears, cheers, and, from competitors, some well-founded fears, America's Got Talent has a new champion.

NBC's talent hunt reached its climax Wednesday night (September 14) after a round of finals, live performances.

When the votes were counted, there could only be one winner: Mayas.

The Lebanese all-female alternative dance group, founded by Lebanese choreographer Nadim Cherfan, collects a $1 million prize and an opportunity to headline a residency at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The dancers emerged victorious by defeating a final group, which included saxophonist Avery Dixon;

Country Trio Chapel Heart; teenage Polish singer Sarah James; AI Act Metaphysic; and Australian pole dancer Christy Sellers, who finished the season as runner-up.

The finale was an all-star affair, beginning with a performance by the Black Eyed Peas, and involving some big-name collaborators.
